Thursday, April 25

This course is the follow-up to our first Wine Pairing course, which focused on a Winter menu. In the same vein, this tasting course features a seasonal Spring menu paired with the appropriate wines that will really enhance the eating experience.

Learn the basics of how the wine characteristics enhance or detract from classic French dishes.  This class will focus on seasonal (Spring) dishes so that you can test your new skills with your next meal.

Join us for an evening tasting session which will include:

2 Entrées: Rillettes de saumon au citron (salmon rillettes with lemon); fresh asparagus

2 Plats: Spring lamb; ratatouille

1 Dessert: Mousse au chocolat blanc aux framboises (white chocolate mousse with raspberries)

5 Wines: 1 white from Alsace & 1 white from the Loire, 1 red from the Loire & 1 red from Vallée du Rhône, & 1 sweet wine from the Loire.

Instructor: Hélène Goble comes from a wine-producing family in Bordeaux and organizes wine tasting events and annual wine tours of the Bordeaux area. As well as presenting wines, she will introduce you to the French “savoir-vivre” . She is a graduate of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust in London.

Deadline for registration: Tuesday, April 22.
