Embroidery is a creative way to add decoration to clothing, tote bags, linens, throw pillows, gifts and wall hangings. You can use your own skill and imagination to turn the basic stitches into designs both modern and traditional.

Join us and learn ways to embellish fabrics with French Knots, Lazy Daisy, Satin Stitch, Fly Stitch, and Chain Rose, among others.

You will leave with your own colorful sampler to use as a reference for future work. We will also discuss the varieties of threads and tools, and how to create your own designs or transfer designs from other sources. No experience needed!

Instructor: Ruth Rothstein, embroidery enthusiast and experienced instructor, is visiting us from New York for this workshop to teach you to make art with stitches.
