Beauford Delaney (1901-1979), an American modernist painter, was born in Tennessee. He became part of the Harlem Renaissance of the 1940's, then moved to Paris in 1953. His art is varied and very interesting, as is his life. This presentation will include an overview of his life, particularly the period in Paris, and an introduction to his art.
